Data We Collect
- Scan content you choose to submit: text, links, screenshots, or images are sent only after you tap Check.
- Generated scan results and metadata: risk score, category, model response, whether text or an image was included, latency, success/failure, and scan ID.
- Anonymous app identifier: a random per-device ID stored in the device keychain/secure storage and sent to the TrustCheck backend to enforce free scan limits and TrustCheck Plus access.
- Product analytics: app opens, screen views, scan workflow events, paywall interactions, purchase actions, feedback events, device platform, and basic scan result metadata such as score, label, category, model, and latency.
- Purchase status: RevenueCat and Apple product identifiers, entitlement status, and, for subscriptions, expiration status.
- Feedback you choose to submit: helpful/not helpful, issue type, expected label, optional notes, and, only if you opt in, the original checked text or image for review.
- Support requests and replies: your name and email if you provide them, plus the description and anything else you include when you contact support.
TrustCheck does not require an account and does not collect your name, contacts, location, advertising ID, or payment card details.

Third Parties
TrustCheck shares data only as needed to operate the app:
- AI providers process submitted scan content to generate analysis.

- PostHog processes product analytics events. TrustCheck does not send original scan text, screenshots, feedback notes, or full generated explanations to PostHog.
- RevenueCat manages purchase status and entitlement verification.
- Apple processes App Store purchases and subscription management.
- Issued routes support form submissions to TrustCheck's issue tracker and threads replies over email when you provide an email address.
- Email providers process messages when you contact support.
TrustCheck does not sell personal data and does not use submitted content for advertising or tracking.
Retention
- Local check history is stored on your device and can be cleared from the History screen.
- Server scan metadata and generated results may be retained to operate the service, enforce usage limits, troubleshoot issues, and improve quality.
- Original text or images are not stored for feedback review unless you explicitly choose Share scan content after marking a result not helpful.
- Shared feedback inputs are retained for up to 90 days, then removed from feedback storage.
- Purchase records are retained while needed to provide and verify access.
- Support requests and replies are retained as needed to respond and maintain support records.
Your Choices
- Do not tap Check if you do not want content sent for analysis.
- Use the History screen to clear saved checks from your device.
- Use Restore purchases in the app for past purchases. Subscription plans can also be managed through Apple's subscription settings.
