Scam checks in plain English

Is this real or a scam?

Paste a suspicious text, email, post, or screenshot and get a plain-language risk check before you tap. A clear trust score, a verdict you can read, and exactly what to do next.

Nothing is sent until you tap Check. Checks use TrustCheck's server and AI providers.

A second opinion for anything suspicious

Three taps to peace of mind

No jargon, no settings to learn. TrustCheck is built for everyday people who just want a straight answer before they respond, pay, share, or click.

1

Add the suspicious thing

Paste a message, add a screenshot, or share it straight into TrustCheck from Messages, Mail, or your browser.

2

Tap “Check for scams”

TrustCheck analyzes the content for the telltale tricks scammers use — urgency, look-alike links, impersonation, and more.

3

Get a plain-English answer

A trust score from 0 to 100, a clear verdict, and a practical next step — like “Do not tap the link. Call your bank using the number on your card.”

Answers you can actually read

No security jargon. Warning signs and reassuring signs are separated, so you understand the reasoning in seconds.

When it's a scam

A verdict, a score, and what to do now

Every check leads with the thing that matters most: what you should do next. The reasoning is right below it, in plain terms.

  • Trust score from 0–100 — see at a glance whether it lands in risk, unclear, or trust territory.
  • “What to do now” up front — a practical next step, not a lecture.
  • “In plain terms” explanation — why it looks like a scam, written for humans.

When it's real

Reassurance when things check out

Not everything is a scam — and false alarms are exhausting. When something looks legitimate, TrustCheck says so and shows you the reassuring signs it found.

  • Warning signs and reassuring signs, separated — so the reasoning is easy to weigh.
  • Honest about uncertainty — when the signals are mixed, the score lands in “unclear” instead of pretending.
  • Share the result — send the verdict to the family member who forwarded you the message.

Your history

Every check, saved on your device

Look back at anything you've checked — the verdict, the score, and the advice. Your full check history is saved locally on your phone.

  • On-device history — revisit past checks anytime, even the reassuring ones.
  • Share into TrustCheck — use the share sheet from Messages, Mail, Safari, or Photos to start a check.
  • Works with screenshots and images — check a photo of a text, a website, a profile, or a listing.

Private by default,
checked on your say-so

TrustCheck is a tool you reach for in a suspicious moment — not another app quietly watching what you do.

Nothing is sent until you tap Check

Content is sent to TrustCheck's server and AI providers only when you choose to run a check. Pasting or adding a screenshot sends nothing.

History stays on your device

Your check history is saved locally on your phone — it's yours, not ours.

Built to be careful, not alarmist

TrustCheck can miss context. For banks, bills, accounts, or legal matters, always confirm through an official channel.

Privacy at a glance

TrustCheck sends scan content to TrustCheck's server and AI providers only after you tap Check. Check history is stored on your device, optional feedback content is shared only if you opt in, and TrustCheck does not sell personal data or use submitted content for advertising or tracking.

TrustCheck uses product analytics to understand app opens, screen views, scan workflow events, paywall interactions, and feedback. Original scan text, screenshots, feedback notes, and full generated explanations are not sent to analytics providers.
